Michael W. Gartenberg

Michael Gartenberg earned his Master of Construction Management Degree from Washington University in 1990 and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Missouri in 1983. Having worked in the public, private and academic sectors, he brings a wealth of construction and engineering management experience to his leadership of GCC. He has served as Director of Engineering of the St. Louis Zoological Park, City Engineer/Director of Public Works/Building Commissioner of Crestwood, Missouri, Construction Coordinator of Edison Brothers Stores Apparel Division and as Construction Inspector for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department.

In addition to his role at GCC, Michael has served as an Affiliate Professor in the Master of Construction Management Degree Program of the Department of Civil Engineering at Washington University and a Certified Missouri Safety Consultant. His participation in professional organizations have included the American Society of Civil Engineers, Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys, American Arbitration Association and the International Facilities Management Association. Michael has also served as a member of the Tax Increment Financing Committee of the City of Olivette, Missouri.
